The school wants Kyle to focus on a vocational track. In Kyle's family, academics are a priority. Even though Kyle has a moderate brain injury, Kyle's grandmother, his guardian, isn't willing to give up on Kyle going to college. She brings a brain injury consultant to meet with the school psychologist and special education teacher in hopes of keeping Kyle on an academic track.
